NMD Human Race Trail Respira Sample Sneakers

Created as part of Pharrell Williams’s celebrated partnership with adidas, the NMD Human Race Trail “Respira” Sample Sneakers embody the artist’s pursuit of unity, expression, and cultural exchange. Produced in 2016 for the Fall/Winter 2017 season as Friends and Family exclusives, these “Look See” samples retain their original sample tags and represent one of the most coveted iterations of the Human Race line.

The sneakers feature a predominantly purple Primeknit upper complemented by teal heel tabs. The right shoe is embroidered with the Japanese characters “月太陽,” meaning “Moon Sun,” while the left displays the Spanish word “RESPIRA,” or “breathe.” The multilingual text and dynamic color palette capture Pharrell’s ongoing exploration of global harmony and mindfulness through design.
