An extremely rare example of Genesis’ 1968 7” single, "A Winter’s Tale / One Eyed Hound," released on Decca Records. This 45 represents the second single ever released by the band, who were then teenagers. Genesis had formed just a year earlier as five students from the Charterhouse School in Surrey, and these early recordings capture the group in their formative stage before their later progressive rock success.
The offered record, accompanied by its original Decca sleeve was a commercial flop at the time but has since become one of the rarest and most desirable pieces of Genesis memorabilia. As one of the few surviving copies of this early release, it provides collectors with a tangible connection to the origins of one of rock’s most influential bands.
