UK Tour Poster

An original poster for a transatlantic punk summit: Richard Hell — late of Television and the Heartbreakers, by then leading the Voidoids — headlining a UK tour with The Clash in support. Hell, by most accounts the man whose torn shirts and chopped hair set the visual template Malcolm McLaren would import wholesale to London a year earlier, was here on the road with the British band who had, by the time of the tour, become punk's biggest live draw. A poster that documents the moment New York's first wave and London's leading group shared a stage.
