A 1983 Vivienne Westwood and Jamie Reid T-shirt, with the central red diamond bearing the word PUNK, part of the political-graphic run of the period. Together with 'Love Close to Hate' (lot 39), the design belongs to the group of Seditionaries-era prints reissued from the original screens after 1980 and sold via BOY at 153 King's Road. Reid was instrumental in bringing Anarchist sloganeering into both McLaren's world and that of the Sex Pistols, engineering their visual iconography in posters, record sleeves and clothes that matched the unbridled fury of the band.
