Promotional poster for the Sex Pistols' "C'mon Everybody" single — Sid Vicious's cover of the Eddie Cochran rock-and-roll standard, taken from The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle two record set (post band breakup), released by Virgin Records in 1979. The lot pairs work by two of the most consequential visual collaborators on the band: Bob Gruen, whose access throughout the band's doomed American tour made him punk's de facto in-house documentarian, and Jamie Reid, whose ransom-note typography and pop-art sensibility defined the Pistols' graphic identity. For an original cibachrome of the Gruen photograph, see lot 52.
