'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle' Poster

Pink-bordered promotional poster for The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (Virgin Records, 1979), the soundtrack album to the Sex Pistols' film of the same name. Early pressings of both the double-LP and single-LP soundtrack formats included machine-folded copies of either the American Express parody poster — withdrawn almost immediately by Virgin under threat of litigation from American Express — or the Quad film poster. Some 1979 and 1980 pressings instead included the "Dead Deer" poster or the "Sid From Beyond The Grave" poster. The present design was never included as an insert in any pressing of The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle; it was issued exclusively as a standalone promotional sheet, and is materially rarer than the British film quad of the same artwork. A fine, bright example.
