The debut album by Suicide (Alan Vega and Martin Rev), released December 1977 as the inaugural LP on Marty Thau's Red Star Records, recorded over four days at Ultima Sound Studios in New York and co-produced by Craig Leon. Vega's inimitable and unparalleled vocals and lyrics, paired with Rev's primitive, repetitive electronics, produced the record now widely credited as the foundational document of synth-punk and a direct ancestor of industrial, no-wave, techno and synth pop. The album has since been licensed to BMG and reissued, making original 1977 Red Star pressings increasingly scarce.
This is a scarce sealed first pressing in its original shrink-wrap.
