Presented here is a full-size 2015 McLaren-Honda MP4-30 show car, finished in the graphite livery raced by Fernando Alonso at the season-ending. Incorporating many original carbon-fiber body parts and race-used components, the car comes directly from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking. As a show car, it is not fitted with an engine, but otherwise closely replicates the MP4-30 driven by Alonso during the 2015 season.
The MP4-30 marked the revival of one of Formula 1’s most celebrated partnerships. Between 1988 and 1991, McLaren-Honda won four consecutive Constructors’ Championships and four consecutive Drivers’ Championships with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. In 2015, Honda returned as McLaren’s engine supplier for the first time since 1992, while two-time World Champion Alonso returned to the team he had last driven for in 2007.
Nicknamed “Size Zero” for its exceptionally tightly packaged rear bodywork, the MP4-30 represented an ambitious new technical direction for McLaren and Honda. Alonso was joined by 2009 World Champion Jenson Button, placing two World Champions in the same garage for the first season of the renewed partnership. This full-size example, incorporating race-used components and coming directly from McLaren, preserves the distinctive form and livery of that pivotal season.
Please note that the car is currently on public display in London, and delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
