Black and White Pochette

From Louis Vuitton's January 2021 capsule with Urs Fischer, this Pochette bag is executed in the collection's black-and-white colorway. The LV Monogram is rendered in tuffetage, an embossed velvet-like technique that raises the pattern into a soft, dimensional relief across the coated canvas rather than printing it flat with the black pattern set against a white ground for a high-contrast reading of the maison's most familiar motif.

Fischer, the Swiss contemporary artist whose sculpture, painting, and text-based practice has been shown across Gagosian, the Palazzo Grassi (Pinault Collection), and the New Museum, approached the collaboration structurally rather than as surface-level graphic.
