AKIRA Tetsuo Blue T-shirt

The blue colorway of Fashion Victim Ltd.'s licensed AKIRA Tetsuo tee is widely regarded as the rarest of the maker's original 1988 program — produced in materially smaller quantities than the more familiar black and white variants, and correspondingly harder to source cleanly on the vintage market. Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA (1988) reshaped the global understanding of what anime could be, and Fashion Victim's licensed apparel run stands as one of the earliest and most heavily-collected external merchandise programs the film generated. This example carries the maker's iconic Tetsuo front graphic — Tetsuo Shima mid-mutation, cybernetic arm exploding from beneath his signature red cape with cables and mechanical fragments spilling out, "AKIRA" set in bold black block letters underneath — printed on a heavyweight cotton body that has faded into a soft washed indigo through years of period wear. The back panel carries the film's Japanese title in red katakana — アキラ — printed across the shoulder blades.
