"Made of Imagination" Sony Xperia Smartphone Commercial Stop-Motion Robot

LAIKA House is the commercial arm of LAIKA Studios — the Portland-based stop-motion animation house behind Coraline, ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Missing Link — and this piece comes directly from one of the arm's most memorable advertising productions. The figure was created for Sony's "Made of Imagination" campaign promoting the Xperia smartphone, a fully stop-motion spot LAIKA House produced to LAIKA feature-film craft standards. The robot itself is fabricated in silver-toned metal and painted plastic components on a rigid armature: a rectangular Sony-branded torso with a red power-indicator light, a domed head with two black-dot eyes, articulated stick arms with hand-jointed pincer fingers, and short legs terminating in flat block feet. Standing housed in an original clear-glass presentation case atop a white plinth marked "made of imagination — LAIKA HOUSE" across the front nameplate.

LAIKA House commercial output — puppets, armatures, and objects — rarely leaves the studio's own archive, and pieces in complete case-presented format with the LAIKA House marking intact are a genuinely uncommon category on the collector market.
