Virgil Abloh SS23 Black Uniform T-shirt

Created exclusively for staff working the Spring/Summer 2023 Louis Vuitton Men’s show, this T-shirt is part of a rare internal issue from a season defined as both tribute and transition.

Though presented after Virgil Abloh’s passing, the SS23 collection was designed by the Louis Vuitton Studio Prêt-à-Porter Homme, the in-house team Abloh built and led. The show honored his legacy, expanding on his belief that imagination, craftsmanship, and storytelling could transcend borders.

The tee features graphic sketches across the chest, including an “équipe Vuitton” flag and playful motifs in the style of Abloh’s hand-drawn vernacular. The back bears a hopscotch diagram labeled CIEL and TERRE (Heaven and Earth), mirroring the runway set at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre — which was transformed into a childlike dreamscape for the occasion.
