1979 Peter Tosh “Bush Doctor” Tour Yellow T-shirt

Peter Tosh signed to Rolling Stones Records in 1978 as the first non-rock artist on the Stones’ own imprint — a two-album deal that would run across Bush Doctor (1978) and Mystic Man (1979) before ending, and that remains the single clearest crossover window between the Wailers co-founder’s catalog and the broader rock audience. Mick Jagger guested on the Bush Doctor single “(You Gotta Walk) Don’t Look Back” and performed it with Tosh on Saturday Night Live that December. This mustard-yellow cotton tee comes from the US tour that followed in early 1979: a brown-ink portrait of Tosh sits at the chest with his name set in red block type above, the small red Rolling Stones Records tongue-and-lips logo tucked beneath the figure, and “BUSH DOCTOR TOUR / AMERICA / FEB. MAR. 1979” printed across the back in green type arched around a central cannabis-leaf illustration.
