Pink Fabric Flower

A custom-made pink fabric flower crafted for Paul Tazewell to wear on the Wicked red carpet — pinned to the lapel of his white pinstripe suit at the film's premiere in November 2024. Built from layered pale-pink silk and chiffon petals, ruffled and built up in dimensional rings, with a black-rhinestone-set center ringed by pink and black hand-beaded stamens.

The color choice is Glinda's. Pink is the shade Tazewell carried through Glinda's entire costume story in Wicked — calibrated against Billie Burke's Glinda the Good in the 1939 Wizard of Oz, by his own account the direct visual inspiration — and the bloom on his lapel was, on premiere night, the most direct nod a costume designer could make to the half of the world he had spent years constructing.
