2005 Grey Chomper Zip-up Hoodie

A highlight of early 2000's streetwear, this A Bathing Ape x KAWS collaboration sweater jacket, also known as the "Chomper", combines NIGO's knowledge of Japanese pop culture and New York graffiti artistry. Released as part of BAPE's Fall/Winter 2005 collection, the "Chomper" name comes from the well-known KAWS XX eye design and the toothy grin extending across the front and hood of the jacket. Limited in its release, this piece set the stage for a decades-long collaboration between NIGO and KAWS.

From the personal collection of Pedro "Busy P" Winter, the French electronic music tastemaker, Ed Banger Records founder, and longtime Daft Punk manager whose discerning eye for cultural crossovers defined an era.

Net proceeds from the sales of Pedro's collection benefit Secours Populaire Français.
