Against Evil Eye Bracelet

An 18-karat yellow gold bangle centered by a Lorraine Schwartz evil eye, the New York designer's signature protective motif. Executed here in blue topaz with a black diamond pupil at the center, it's framed by an outer marquise-shaped bezel pavé-set with round diamonds with a weight of approximately 0.76 carats. The eye reads as a talisman anchored to a clean, high-polished gold cuff; the bangle itself is hollow to the touch, unsigned and unstamped, consistent with pieces made directly for a private client rather than for retail distribution.

Lorraine Schwartz operates out of New York's Diamond District as a fourth-generation jeweler, working almost entirely by private commission and known for the scale of the colored stones she sources and the pavé work her atelier executes; the evil eye has been her most enduring signature and one of the most photographed talismanic motifs in modern American fine jewelry.
