Brooklyn Machine Works represented a unique cocktail of street culture, BMX, and mountain biking, spiked with an 80-proof shot of NYC. The BK-born, streetsmart bike brand caught the attention of Pharrell (who eventually took on a partnership stake) and became the preferred 2-wheeled mode of travel across the galaxy Pharrell. A frequent traveler throughout said galaxy,  it was inevitable that NIGO would commission his own custom Brooklyn Machine Works rig. This is that rig. One of Brooklyn Machine Works' most infamous components was their vicious, chunky, imposing, and aptly named “Shinburger” pedals, which are fitted to this bike, with “NIGO” engraved on each. The pedals alone are legendary in the BMX world, fetching upwards of $1,000 on the secondary market. This is a very special bike, from a very special brand, with a very unique provenance. It represents an incredibly important intersection of engineering, style, design, and defiance.
