Juste un Clou 18K White Gold Bracelet Extra-Large | Extra Large

Aldo Cipullo's iconic nail bracelet, designed for Cartier New York in 1971 as the streetwise counterpart to his 1969 Love bracelet — a hardware store fastener cast in precious metal and bent into a bangle, worn slipped onto the wrist rather than screwed onto it. This is the extra-large size, executed in 18-karat white gold with the signature nail head at one end and the pointed shank curving around to meet it. Stamped AU 750 18K, it measures three inches wide across the wrist with a three-quarter-inch nail head, and is accompanied by its original Cartier certification.

 

Cipullo's design was one of the first pieces of high jewelry to import the language of American industry into Fifth Avenue vitrines, and the Juste un Clou has since become one of the most quietly worn Cartier bangles of the past decade — a modern classic that reads equally at home on the boardroom cuff and off-duty streetwear.
