The Playhaus Perch Chair explores playful architecture through bold geometry and saturated color. Constructed from lacquered structural elements and finished with lambskin upholstery, the chair reflects Cedric Mitchell’s interest in combining sculptural form with everyday function.

The design draws inspiration from postmodern furniture movements and Mitchell’s Modern Funk design language, where vibrant color and expressive forms create objects that feel both joyful and intentional.

The resulting piece invites interaction while maintaining a strong visual presence, transforming a familiar furniture typology into a collectible sculptural seat. Each piece is individually hand-blown in Los Angeles, resulting in subtle variations that highlight the artist’s process and the material’s fluid nature.
