N’Doul is Hirohiko Araki’s blind desert assassin — the first of DIO’s nine Egyptian Stand users the Joestar party encounters as they close in on Cairo, a tracker who hunts his targets by sound alone through his sand-and-wave Stand Geb. His appearance ends in one of Stardust Crusaders’ most quietly devastating sequences: cornered, defeated, aware that DIO would kill him for failing anyway, he bites down on his own tongue and chooses the end on his own terms. This production cel captures that exact death moment in A.P.P.P.’s identifiable high-saturation palette: eyes closed in a half-smile, blue-black hair cast in heavy shadow, blood running from the mouth and chin in deep crimson arcs across the acetate, gold hoop earrings catching the light. The scene remains one of the clearest early examples of Araki’s refusal to code his antagonists as pure villains — a tonal register the 1993 OVA under Hiroyuki Kitakubo pulled directly from the manga into the first-ever JoJo animated vocabulary.
