The Rasengan is Naruto Uzumaki’s signature technique — a spiraling orb of pure chakra condensed into the palm of the hand, invented by his father Minato Namikaze (the Fourth Hokage) and taught to Naruto by Jiraiya across the arc that cements the character’s path toward his inherited legacy. Early in the original series, Naruto cannot form the Rasengan with his own hands alone; he needs a shadow clone to help shape the chakra sphere, which is why Rasengan sequences in the original Naruto run typically carry a second effects layer tracking the clone’s dispersing smoke. This 18-sheet complete cut carries exactly that construction: character sheets B1 through B9 show a battered Naruto in his original orange jumpsuit, teeth gritted, hands cupped and arm drawn back as he strains to form the sphere; effects sheets A1 through A8 (A8 marked “End”) run the blue-pencil smoke on a separate layer, consistent with the clone dispersing beside him. Complete character-and-effects cuts from start to “End” are far rarer on the collector market than single drawings, and the pose and uniform match the technique’s deployment across pivotal fights of the original series. Naruto itself was produced digitally from the start — no cels exist, making original pencil drawings like these the only physical production artwork the show ever generated.
