90’s Yu Koyama Azumi Big Comic Superior Grey T-Shirt

Yu Koyama's Azumi ran in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior from 1994 through 2008, winning the Shogakukan Manga Award for its account of a young female assassin raised and trained by a master in the mountains to eliminate Edo-period warlords and prevent civil war. The series eventually ran to 48 volumes and spawned two live-action films starring Aya Ueto, cementing Azumi's position as one of the defining post-war samurai manga outside the Lone Wolf and Cub lineage. This grey cotton tee carries the Azumi 100th-anniversary graphic — a close-cropped silhouette of the title character against a dark background with the red brush-stroke "AZUMI" wordmark and the "Story of a Lovely and Brave Lady Soldier / Presented by Yuu Koyama / BIG COMIC SUPERIOR" credit line underneath.
