Sakura Varsity Jacket | US Men's Large

A first-collection piece from Mononoke Made, the joint project launched in April 2026 by Takashi Murakami and READYMADE founder Yuta Hosokawa, and one of the most-watched art-fashion releases of the year. This Sakura Varsity Jacket is the collection's stand out piece, and it sold through almost on the day it dropped.

Featuring cherry-blossom-pink melton wool body framed by cream cow-leather sleeves embossed with a hidden Murakami flower visible only up close, the jacket itself is a work of art built with premiuj materials. Across the back, a full-bloom sakura tree is rendered in layers of dimensional embroidery built from Murakami's original "Sakura" artworkusing over 20,000 indivdual stitches. The front carries three sagara-embroidered cherry blossoms on felt backed by two layers of colored leather building each petal into relief. "Japan" runs in chain-stitch script across the upper back; the collection's mantra sits on the left chest in matching stitch: "Even if you manage to stay, you will feel like a ghost."
