In 2010, legendary conceptual artist John Baldessari brought his irreverent wit and sharp visual language to Supreme in a limited edition of 500 skateboard decks. Each deck features one of Baldessari’s signature image-text compositions, translating his collage-like approach and deadpan humor into the context of streetwear and skate culture. The collaboration reflects Supreme’s early commitment to aligning with blue-chip artists, long before art-world crossovers became commonplace.
