N.E.R.D. “Provider” Black T-shirt

Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo had already produced "Hot in Herre," "Shake Ya Ass," and the first wave of Clipse records when they launched N.E.R.D. in 2001 as a standalone band project — the Virgin Records debut In Search Of... pulling the Neptunes out of their behind-the-boards production role and into live-band territory alongside Shay Haley and the Minneapolis session group Spymob. The record was pulled from its original 2001 release schedule and reissued in 2002 with full live-band instrumentation replacing the original programmed version, and gave N.E.R.D. its first full touring cycle across 2002 and 2003. This black cotton tee ties directly to "Provider," the fourth single from the record released in 2003: the chest print frames the N.E.R.D. brain-and-logo mark at the upper left of a thin red-bordered rectangle, with a lime-green and magenta two-tone silhouette of a reclining entangled couple set at the center and "Provider" captioned in red block type at the base.
