First imagined in Back to the Future Part II (1989), the Nike Mag became reality in 2011 when Nike released 1,500 pairs at auction to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Offered in sizes 7 through 13, this pair is a size 13—the largest Nike Mag ever made available to the public.

Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield as a vision of futuristic footwear, the Mag was brought to life by Nike in 2011 and again in 2016. The 2011 edition features light-up panels powered by a rechargeable battery and includes a power adapter for charging.
