A collaborative reflection between two of contemporary art’s most subversive image-makers, Special Guest brings together Richard Prince and Roe Ethridge in a visual dialogue that probes the boundaries of authorship, appropriation, and photographic truth. Published on the occasion of their 2015 exhibition at Gagosian Gallery, the book acts as a double portrait—each artist remixing and responding to the other’s imagery to create something uniquely irreverent, humorous, and self-aware. Produced in a limited run of 100, the print is a conceptual extension of the artists’ mutual fascination with the slippery nature of the photographic image.
