A Victorian botanical study rendered in roughly 45 carats (J-Cape/SI-I) of old mine diamonds, this brooch arranges three pansy blossoms and a flanking bud across a fully articulated leafy stem. Each flower is set on a tremblant spring so the heads quiver independently with the wearer's movement — a 19th-century horological flourish that made evening jewelry feel alive under candlelight. The silver-topped yellow gold mounting is the period's signature pairing: silver for the cool fire of the diamonds, gold for the structural strength and warm reverse. At 4 × 3 1/4 inches (10.2 × 8.3 cm), it reads as a major Victorian floral spray of the kind that defined the high-jewelry vocabulary of the 1880s.
