Edwardian Diamond and Ruby Flaming Heart Brooch

A pavé heart in platinum-topped yellow gold, set with 85 Old European cut diamonds totaling approximately 7.10 carats in G–I color and VS–SI clarity, crowned by a flame of calibré-cut buff-top rubies measuring 0.80 carats. The flaming heart, a Sacred Heart motif rooted in Catholic iconography, became a popular love token through the late 19th and early 20th centuries, especially in Edwardian jewelry where the platinum-topped gold construction allowed pavé work this dense to read as a continuous field of light.
