Paul Tazewell wore this Comme des Garçons Homme Plus jacket to the 78th Tony Awards on June 8, 2025, the night he won his second Tony — Best Costume Design of a Musical for Death Becomes Her — and became only the second person in history, after Bob Fosse, to win an Oscar and a Tony for costume design in the same calendar year. A piece from Rei Kawakubo's Spring/Summer 2024 menswear line, cut to the slightly off-balance, conceptual silhouette the label has run since 1984 — finished, here, with applied bows: the same bow motif Kawakubo has threaded through Comme des Garçons across decades, set into a piece of menswear with the quietly subversive composition the line is known for.
