Pharrell Williams’ partnership with ADIDAS began in 2014, evolving from colorful takes on the Stan Smith and Superstar into the pioneering HU NMD series: a design created to celebrate humanity and unity, with “Hu” representing “Human.” The NMD line introduced BOOST cushioning to lifestyle footwear, setting a new benchmark for comfort and design innovation.

From the personal collection of Pedro Winter (a.k.a. Busy P), the influential French DJ, producer, and founder of Ed Banger Records. Busy P purchased this pair at ComplexCon during its launch, cementing his direct connection to the moment it entered culture. As Daft Punk’s longtime manager and a key architect of the 2000s Parisian electronic sound, Winter helped shape the global rise of dance music that intersected with Pharrell’s own career: most famously on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories and N.E.R.D.’s continued exploration of funk, rock, and hip hop. This pair reflects the creative cross-pollination between Pharrell and the French touch movement that defined an era.
