NMD R1 Refined Sneakers

Originally released in limited numbers as part of adidas’ artist-focused campaigns, this pair of ADIDAS NMD R1 sneakers is the result of a playful collaboration with artist Kevin Lyons, known for his whimsical “monster” characters and bold graphics. The design transforms the futuristic NMD silhouette into a walking canvas of animated fun. The upper features a baby blue base with Lyons' signature cartoon monster faces printed on each toe, complete with googly eyes, crooked teeth, and flailing tongues. Yellow collars and bright accents give the shoe a lively, youthful energy, while white rope laces and BOOST midsoles retain the NMD’s technical DNA. From the collection of Sarah Andelman, a longtime friend and collaborator of Lyons, with whom she realized numerous creative projects at colette.
