Kenturah Davis (b. 1984, Los Angeles, CA) is a draughtsman, sculptor, performer, and textile artist whose interdisciplinary practice takes language as both material and conceptual foundation. Grounded in a deep engagement with the written word, Davis explores how language structures perception, shapes identity, and reveals the contingencies of meaning.

Davis lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She received her BA from Occidental College, Los Angeles, and MFA from Yale University School of Art, Princeton, NJ, in 2018, where she was an inaugural artist fellow at NXTHVN. The artist has held solo exhibitions at institutions including the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2020 in Savannah, GA, entitled Everything That Cannot Be Known, and has realized major public commissions for the Los Angeles Metro Rail's Crenshaw/LAX rail line and for the Alliance Française in Accra, Ghana, in honor of International Women’s Day. Her works can be found in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, NY; the Studio Museum, Harlem, Harlem, NY; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Los Angeles, CA; The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, FL, among others. Her work was featured in multiple group presentation at Jeffrey Deitch including Punch, curated by Nina Chanel Abney at Jeffrey Deitch in Los Angeles in 2019 and in Clay Pop, curated by Alia Dahl in Los Angeles in 2023. Her first solo exhibition in New York, (a)Float, (a)Fall, (a)Dance, (a)Death, was presented with Jeffrey Deitch in 2021.
