Born in Nagano, Japan in 1975, Susumu Kamijo is known for his dynamic fusion of abstraction and figuration, and creative depictions of the natural world. In particular, Kamijo frequently presents stylized depictions of poodles, one example of which is White Night Sahara. His work is a playful yet meditative exploration of form, color and pattern, inviting the viewer to reconsider the boundaries of representation through his unique and distinct style.
