Released exclusively in Japan in 2001, the Nike Dunk Low Pro B “Veneer”—also affectionately known as the “Joker” Dunk—stands as one of the most distinctive colorways of the early-2000s “Ugly Dunkling” (aka “Ugly Duckling”) Pack. The design features lush suede uppers in shades of green, purple, and brown, with signature fat laces and exaggerated proportions that foreshadowed the forthcoming SB “Skateboarding” line released the next year.

Vibrant yet balanced, the colorway reflects the playful experimentation that defined Nike’s Pro B releases—bridging performance, skate culture, and style. The shoes were nicknamed Veneer Dunks because their official colorway is Veneer, Deep Purple, and Autumn Green. They are also known as Joker Dunks because of their purple and green colors.

Nike Dunks were originally introduced in 1985 as basketball shoes before evolving into lifestyle icons. By 2002, Nike had adapted the Dunk for skateboarding, cementing its place in street culture. Pharrell Williams himself has a deep history with the model—collaborating with Nike in 2004 to create a limited Artist Series Dunk, released in only 1,050 pairs worldwide.

This lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Ownership verifying that the shoes are from Pharrell Williams’ private collection.
