Born in London in 1957, Stephen Jones is a milliner renowned for his innovative and theatrical hat designs, exceptional craftsmanship, and technical expertise. He has collaborated with major couturier houses and designers including Dior, Raf Simons, Maison Margiela Azzedine Alaïa, Thom Browne, Schiaparelli and more, creating headpieces that have graced runways and red carpets. His notable clientele includes Princess Diana, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Madonna, Céline Dion, and he has contributed to major film wardrobes including pieces for Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Keira Knightley in Atonement. Since opening his first millinery salon in 1980, Jones has pushed the boundaries of millinery, reviving it with a modern, radical, and exotic twist. Recently, Jones’ work was exhibited in Stephen Jones, Chapeaux D’artiste at the Palais Galliera.
