In 2003, artist and designer Eric Haze collaborated with Nike to release two pairs of limited-edition Dunk Premiums — one high and one low. Both models feature black, white and medium-grey gradient uppers, a design inspired by overspray created with spray paint. These dunks were the first to be produced with this ‘overspray’ design. Made with premium materials, the Dunk Low carries style number 306793-101, with an official colorway of White / Black / Medium Grey, and released on July 15, 2003.

Originally introduced in 1985 as basketball footwear, Nike Dunks have since evolved into lifestyle and skateboarding staples. Their clean silhouette makes them a perfect canvas for creative expression, and the Haze collaboration remains a standout example. Known for their minimalist yet striking gradient application, these Dunks are among the most recognizable gradient-treated Nike releases to date.

Eric Haze — a pioneering graffiti artist and designer — is known for bold lettering, graphic work, and influential street-art aesthetics. His collaboration with Nike extended beyond the shoes themselves: two variations of each pair were produced, one with standard Nike tongue tags and another featuring Haze’s signature logos. The Haze-tagged versions were packaged in special edition boxes and were produced in extremely limited quantities.
