Original 'Haze Staff' Jacket

A rare artifact from the formative years of global streetwear, this original Stüssy 'Haze Staff' jacket was custom made for artist and designer Eric Haze in the mid-to-late 1980s. Embroidered with 'Haze Staff,' the jacket represents one of the earliest intersections between two of the most influential creative forces in street culture: Stüssy, the pioneering West Coast brand, and Haze, one of the foundational figures of New York graffiti and graphic design.

According to Haze, the jacket dates to around 1987–88 and is among the very first Stüssy staff varsity jackets ever produced. Featuring the distinctive chenille rasta-style Stüssy patch across the back, it predates what later became known as the “Tribe” and instead reflects a more intimate moment when Stüssy was making friends and family pieces for those within its closest creative circle.
