'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle' Cel (Frame 21)

Single hand-painted animation cel from The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (Julien Temple, 1980), the Sex Pistols film conceived with Malcolm McLaren. Sequenced 'Frame No. 21' in the production order.

Following his departure from the band, John Lydon declined to participate in the film. In response, Animation City was commissioned to create a small number of animated sequences to help reconstruct the story of the Sex Pistols. Aside from brief excerpts of concert footage, Johnny Rotten appears in the film only in animated cartoon form.
