Developed in collaboration with Malcolm McLaren for their King’s Road boutiques SEX and Seditionaries, Vivienne Westwood’s iconic bondage designs — distinguished by straps, zippers, and references to fetish and military dress — became defining emblems of the punk movement, challenging conventional notions of fashion, sexuality, and social order.
This grey parachute bondage jacket is from Westwood and McLaren's Seditionaries period at 430 King's Road, c.1978–80. It was acquired directly from the shop by Molly White and carries no label, consistent with a number of Seditionaries-era garments.
