A pair of original Seditionaries 'Spiderman' boots — Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren's web-line ankle boot made for the shop at 430 King's Road in the Seditionaries period that ran from late 1976 to 1980. The Spiderman design — black suede scored with thin parallel lines like a web — was among the most distinctive footwear designs of the Westwood/McLaren punk-era range, and one of the few designs from this moment held by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Surviving examples from this period are rare; those in wearable condition rarer still.
