'Anarchy in the UK' Tour Poster (Preston)

An original concert poster for the most notorious tour in British music history. The Anarchy in the UK Tour — Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Heartbreakers and The Damned — set out across Britain in December 1976 in the immediate aftermath of the Bill Grundy interview, and watched almost every date collapse under councils' pressure. The Charlton Theatre, Preston date on 10 December was among the casualties: the show was cancelled, the audience turned away, and the tour passed into legend. Surviving posters from the cancelled shows are exceptionally scarce, having been pulled or destroyed when each date fell.
