The Rick Owens Geobasket high-top were first introduced in 2006 and are one of the defining sneakers of Owens' menswear output. Customized here in the Chrome Hearts atelier with an extensive sterling silver embellishment program and a signature Chrome Hearts cross on the elongated tongue, Dagger charms at the zippers and heels, custom silver grommets and aglets, Cross Ball studs, and sculptural lace ornaments. Rick Owens and Chrome Hearts formalized their creative relationship in 2019 through a joint capsule shown at Owens' Paris runway, and this Geobasket application represents the deepest integration of the two workshops' vocabularies. What makes the collaboration even more effortless looking is that both houses share a Los Angeles origin and a family-owned, workshop-anchored production model, which makes their collaboration read as unusually organic within the fashion landscape.
