A totem of underground iconography, this 1000% Kubrick figure is sculpted in the likeness of Pointman: the alien-like alter ego imagined by FUTURA 2000 for UNKLE, the experimental music project founded by James Lavelle of Mo’Wax Records. Cast in ethereal blue camo, this version merges science fiction, streetwear, and sound into a single object.

Pointman first appeared in 1998 on the cover of UNKLE’s seminal album Psyence Fiction, a hallucinatory collaboration between Lavelle, DJ Shadow, and a rotating cast including Thom Yorke and Kool G Rap. FUTURA’s aesthetic, graffiti-bred and futurist, defined the album’s visual universe, while the music stitched together New York's gritty DNA with London trip-hop.

In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, FUTURA was a fixture downtown, painting live on stage with The Clash, showing at Fun Gallery, and bridging scenes that didn’t yet know they needed each other. Pointman became an extension of this world-building: part avatar, part prophet, wholly original.
