1996 was Dennis Rodman's year. He arrived in Chicago that summer, joined a Bulls team that would win 72 games and the championship, and published Bad As I Wanna Be — the Delacorte Press autobiography that spent weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and cemented Rodman as one of the strangest and most photographed cultural figures of the decade. This tee and iconic image helped grow the myth around the player, known for grabbing rebounds on the court and headlines off it. A close-cropped portrait photograph of Rodman fills the front with his hair split into red and yellow color-blocks against a tight fade, tongue slightly extended, eyes cut sideways at the camera and printed onto a heavyweight black cotton body.
