NOTES:
This is a small-scale, vividly colored painting by Erik Parker, known for his psychedelic compositions and pop-surrealist sensibility. The work features a central triangular motif, rendered in vibrant pink and red, set against bold blue and yellow stripes. The composition teems with stylized faces, cartoon-like elements, and hallucinatory cloud forms, showcasing Parker’s signature blend of chaos and precision.
Erik Parker (b. 1968) is a contemporary artist known for his hyper-saturated, psychedelic paintings that fuse pop culture, politics, and surrealism. A student of Peter Saul, Parker developed a signature style marked by meticulously layered compositions and cartoonish forms. Now based in Brooklyn, his work has been exhibited globally and is celebrated for capturing the visual overload of contemporary life with sharp wit and unrelenting color.
Erik Parker’s vibrant, psychedelic works are part of major museum collections across North America, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum in New York, as well as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles
