In this striking 12-piece plate set, Jenny Holzer distills her enduring message into a single word: PROTECT. Rendered in elaborate gothic script, the word appears across each porcelain plate, merging classical ornament with Holzer’s pointed, activist language. Produced in 2020 by Prospect, the edition was created in support of Coalition for the Homeless and supported by Hauser & Wirth. Though functional in form, these plates operate as sculptural objects—ceramic declarations that extend Holzer’s conceptual practice into the rituals of daily life.
