This KAWS SMALL LIE toy in brown is a 2017 addition to KAWS’s iconic COMPANION series, capturing a Pinocchio-inspired figure with childlike vulnerability. Produced by Medicom Toy and released in 2017, this 11-inch vinyl sculpture has its head bowed in quiet introspection.

Cast in matte vinyl, the figure is clad in signature overall shorts with gloved hands and cartoonish sneakers that echo KAWS’s playful yet melancholic style. First unveiled as a towering 32-foot hardwood sculpture at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 2016, SMALL LIE was reimagined in this vinyl trio (grey, brown, black) the following year, cementing KAWS’s dialogue between pop culture and personal reflection.

This sculpture comes from the collection of Tommy Cabrerizo, noted North American Ferrari Challenger driver and Miami-based collector of luxury cars.
