The Memomatic was Omega's flagship automatic alarm watch — a 1969 launch built around the maison's in-house caliber 980, an ambitious self-winding movement that drove both the timekeeping and the alarm function from a single rotor. Housed in Omega's signature cushion-form C-shape steel case with the wide integrated bezel and sculptural lug transitions that defined the maison's early-1970s design language, the Memomatic ran through the early-to-mid 1970s and remains one of the more mechanically distinctive Omega references of the decade.

This example is reference 166.072, cased in stainless steel and fitted to its original Omega Milanese mesh bracelet with signed logo clasp. The dial reads as soft silver-grey with applied polished baton hour markers, dauphine-style hands, an inner alarm ring with rotating central disc, and a date window at 3 o'clock. Twin crowns sit at 3 and 4 — the upper for setting the alarm, the lower for winding and time-setting — and the OMEGA / MEMOMATIC / SWISS MADE signature runs across the dial in the original layout.
