A mid-century French flower in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum, the head built from dozens of individually cut gold tubes radiating outward to form a fully dimensional pom-pom of petals, with a cluster of round diamonds totaling approximately 1 carat in G–H color and VS–SI clarity set at the center in platinum. The stem is rendered separately in platinum, channel-set with a graduated line of diamonds. French hallmarks and a maker's mark are present on the reverse. The 1950s French ateliers — Van Cleef, Boucheron, Mauboussin, and their satellites — pushed gold tubework as a structural medium during the decade, with this style of bursting floral form remaining among the most identifiable mid-century vocabularies.
